Internet of Public Service Jobs - Job free 'special'
There has been a lot happening in the last week in public service digital land and I thought I'd do a quick midweek special edition to share a few links. There aren't any jobs - but it is all job related!
Last Thursday Nick Kimber et al had a call to launch the Test, Learn and Grow programme that was previewed in Pat McFadden's speech back in December. He followed up with a post on LinkedIn which includes how to express an interest in the secondments and other roles included in the work. It is well worth checking out.
Yesterday Peter Kyle gave a press conference launching the new 'digital centre of Government'...which is called...wait for it...the Government Digital Service. GDS is dead. Long live GDS!
Amongst the various announcements was the launch of the 'State of digital government' review and 'A blueprint for modern digital government' response paper. They are both extremely good with a lot that will be of interest to subscribers of this newsletter.
This all follows on from all the recent AI hoopla - but makes me much happier.
All this happened while over the pond this was taking place - Musk's DOGE was taking over the US Digital Service.
Normal service will be resumed Saturday!
